Everything you need to run a great meeting

Guides, shortcuts, and straight answers — whether it’s your first call on Connect or your five hundredth.

Getting started

Three ways to get into a meeting, none of them complicated.

01

Start a meeting instantly

Sign in, click New Meeting, and you’re in a live room in seconds. Share the link or code with anyone — they don’t need an account to join you.

02

Schedule one ahead of time

Pick a date and time, add the people you want there, and optionally make it repeat weekly on the same days. Everyone gets an invite with the link already attached.

Join someone else’s meeting

Got a code or a link? Drop it in and you’re in the waiting room, then the call — no download, no account, no sign-up form standing in your way.

Tips for every kind of meeting

A sales call and a board meeting don’t need the same setup. A few small habits go a long way.

Team Sync

Lock the agenda in the meeting title so it’s the first thing people see when they join.

Sales Call

Share your screen for pricing or a demo — everyone sees exactly what you see, in sync.

Interview

Turn on the waiting room so candidates arrive calmly instead of dropping straight into a live call.

Coaching Session

Keep it one-to-one — lock the room once your client joins so nobody else can wander in.

Operations Review

Hit record before you start — incident reviews are easier to act on when you can go back and check exactly what was said.

Project Review

Make it recurring once and stop rebuilding the invite every week — same link, same day, every time.

Customer Success

Guests join without an account, so there’s zero friction for the person on the other side of the call.

Leadership / Board

Combine host controls with a locked room and recording on — clear governance, clear record.

Keyboard shortcuts

Keep your hands on the keyboard

These work from anywhere in the meeting room, no need to move your mouse to the control bar.

Security & privacy, in plain terms

No dense legal page required to understand how your meetings are protected.

Encrypted, always

Every call runs over end-to-end DTLS-SRTP encryption. There’s no setting to turn this off — it’s on by default, every time.

Nothing routes through a third party

Connect runs on infrastructure we operate ourselves. Your call never passes through a third-party video vendor’s cloud to get from you to the people you’re talking to.

You decide who’s in the room

Waiting rooms, host approval, and the ability to remove or mute anyone mid-call mean you’re always in control of who’s present.

Recordings stay with you

When you record a call, it saves to the device that hit record — not to a shared cloud server. You choose where it goes from there.

For the full legal detail, read our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Questions people ask most

Do the people I invite need a Connect account?

No. Creating or scheduling a meeting needs an account, but joining one never does — guests just open the link or enter the code and they’re in.

Is there a time limit on how long a meeting can run?

No. Talk for five minutes or five hours — there’s no cutoff timer ending your call mid-sentence.

Where does a recording go after the call?

It saves directly to the device of whoever pressed record, and you can download it as soon as the call ends. It’s never uploaded to a shared server in the background.

Can I set up a meeting that repeats every week?

Yes — choose the days it repeats on once, and every occurrence reuses the same link and time, in your own timezone, detected automatically.

How many people can be on one call?

Up to 50 participants in a single room, with the same video quality and host controls whether it’s a quick 1:1 or a full team meeting.
